It’s Gone to Print
by Jodi Ethington, owner of talkingtwineandtrim
It’s gone to print is not about a newspaper as they are going but print is the news for spring brides. Let’s check out a few prints and where you can add them for a pop of color, a great theme for a wedding, or the last little touch for a wedding.
Let’s start with paisleys bold and bright often. They take up room when you have blank areas. Paisleys are very detailed and usually have patterns within the paisley pattern. Now Brad Paisleys music does count for paisleys but I was thinking more along the line of this.
So the pretty paisleys are you thing how about ginghams and checks. Outdoor, more laid back, country and all words that go along ginghams. Doesn’t a checkered table cloth just brink a smile to your face. Lemonade in a mason jars with striped straws on a gingham table cloth is inviting and fun. Remember the little details need to be tied up to and gingham ribbon might just be the thing.
Check out (pun intended) some ginghams for weddings.
Next let’s explore a non traditional wedding print, hounds tooth. Never would have thought of this one but I can tell you this I would strongly consider it after doing the research. Bold and classic usually in black and white. Pop your favorite color with hounds tooth and you have a show stopping theme. Theme your wedding favors in hounds tooth too. Take a look at some fun hounds tooth wedding items.
Brides and flowers just go together so floral prints are the last in the spotlight here but couldn’t be over looked. Flowers come printed on about everything and are made for everything. From bride maids dresses, shoe, paper napkins and over course table deco flowers just complete weddings. The last photos here are a few flowers found in the Etsy shops of several of the members of Wed Eclectic.
So think prints when planning your bridal showers and weddings. They help with themes and will set the mood for your event.
